Job Description:
Works in activities related to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and ongoing production quality control.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with program execution from launch phase, through pre-production phase and into production.
Study and become familiar with part features, fitness for use, dimensions and tolerances for parts produced.
Complete and submit Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new tooling, transfer tooling and engineer changes as required.
Meet customer requirements by statistical analysis of the product/process to remove variation.
Participate in the corrective and preventive action process.
Participate in development of quality control plans and FMEA’s.
Complete Gage R&R studies as needed.
Complete control charts and capability studies as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
3 years (+) quality technician experience.
Working knowledge of injection molding process, dimensional inspection, metrology / calibration, GD&T, SPC, and basic computer skills.
Automotive background in quality assurance would be ideal.
ASQ certification would be ideal.
Bi-lingual in Spanish would be ideal.
