Job Description: 

Works in activities related to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and ongoing production quality control. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with program execution from launch phase, through pre-production phase and into production. 

  • Study and become familiar with part features, fitness for use, dimensions and tolerances for parts produced. 

  • Complete and submit Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new tooling, transfer tooling and engineer changes as required. 

  • Meet customer requirements by statistical analysis of the product/process to remove variation. 

  • Participate in the corrective and preventive action process. 

  • Participate in development of quality control plans and FMEA’s. 

  • Complete Gage R&R studies as needed. 

  • Complete control charts and capability studies as needed. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements: 

  • 3 years (+) quality technician experience. 

  • Working knowledge of injection molding process, dimensional inspection, metrology / calibration, GD&T, SPC, and basic computer skills. 

  • Automotive background in quality assurance would be ideal. 

  • ASQ certification would be ideal. 

  • Bi-lingual in Spanish would be ideal.
