Job Description: 

Plan, direct, and control activities related to Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and related functions in accordance with policies and programs set forth by management and required by the customer. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Track and submit Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new tooling, transfer tooling and engineer changes. 

  • Coordinate efforts with QA Engineer to insure accurate dimensional results, on-time PPAP submissions, etc. 

  • Coordinate efforts with QA Engineer to meet customer requirements by statistical analysis of the product/process to remove variation. 

  • Coordinate efforts with QA Engineer to implement and update quality process flow diagrams, control plans and FMEA’s. 

  • Communicate, identify and address internal & external quality concerns with Operators, In-Process Inspectors, & Final Inspectors. 

  • Field customer phone calls and e-mails and take appropriate actions. 

  • Process Instructions (Sample Board / Defect Pages, Operator Instructions, Inspection Instructions, Packaging Instructions, etc.) 

  • Monitor First / Last Shot retain for all Molding areas and in Warehouse (once per month), area in front of Quality Lab A and Quarantine areas throughout facility. Discard 1st and last shot retains older than 6 months. 

  • Monitor PPAP Sample locations. 

  • Coordinate with Shipping any PPAP samples, paint samples or Tools / fixtures going to customers or Troxler Rd. locations. 

  • Perform Daily Start- up Check during assigned time slot. 

  • Track all rejected parts going through Final Inspection in spreadsheet. Print out Monthly Operator Accountability Reports once all information has been entered. 

  • Perform receiving inspection on color concentrate. 

  • Perform monthly & annual calibration and track results in GageTrak. 

  • Assist In-Process and Final Inspectors with quality decisions, coordinating with Quality Manager and Program Managers to determine parameters. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements: 

  • High School graduate or GED 

  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.) 

  • Bi-Lingual in Spanish
