Mold Setter

Job Description: 

Prepares and sets up molds for molding machines. Reports to directly to the plant/production manager. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Use approved set up sheets to cycle machines.

• Loads and unloads molds

• Assists with set-ups

• Maintain mold storage area in neat and orderly manner.

• Verify and identify all resin, concentrate and color.

• Remove molded parts from machines assuring standard cycle is met and all parts are cleared from tooling after each cycle.

• Perform other related tasks including, but not limited to housekeeping tasks required to keep work areas clean and organized.

• Verify condition of molds for damage and scratches

• Communicate with the other shifts the status of parts, equipment and any other matters that might have an impact on their job.

• Any other requested duties.

• Responsible for continuous improvement (ideas and suggestions)

• Responsible to follow all OSHA and safety rules and regulations

• Responsible for following all CCP policies and procedures.

Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations. Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines. 

Requirements: 

• Oral Communication Skills

• Time Management

• Must have good attendance.

• Must demonstrate good judgment.

• Must have mechanical knowledge, and demonstrate knowledge in the use of hand tools. Experience in a similar position would be ideal.

• Bi-Lingual in Spanish would be ideal (not necessary)

Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs.
