Material Handler (Service Person)

Job Description: 

Prepares and provides materials for molding machines. Duties include; Setting-up and supplying raw materials for each machine; cleaning work area and equipment. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Daily check of dryers, loaders, feed hoses and color blenders to make sure they are working properly. If not, then contact maintenance. 

  • Order any material needed for new setups that will be done. Make sure you order enough material for the production run of the job. (This information should be provided by the area process tech each day) 

  • Drain material and clean machine hopper and feed system from previous jobs. This also includes and dryers being used 

  • Clean the grinder if there is one being used. Remove any runner and part samples from grinder from previous job. 

  • Make sure any materials being returned to warehouse are labeled properly and removed from the machine. 

  • Load the material for the new job in hopper or dryer if using one. 

  • Make sure the new material is labeled with the correct information on machine tag, barrel, drying, and grinder. 

  • Clean area when done. 

  • Any other requested duties. 

  • Responsible for continuous improvement (ideas and suggestions) 

  • Responsible to follow all OSHA and safety rules and regulations 

  • Responsible for following all CCP policies and procedures. 

Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations. Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines. 

Requirements: 

  • Must have good attendance. 

  • Must demonstrate good judgment. 

  • Must have mechanical knowledge, and demonstrate knowledge in the use of hand tools. 

Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs.
